MY NEW SINGLE IS OUT NOW!!

North Star is a romantic live-off-the-floor jazz ballad from Canadian vocalist and songwriter Heather Ferguson. Released ahead of the EP Jammin' Under Jack, the single reveals a deeply intimate side of a song that was originally conceived as a dance tune.

The upcoming five-track EP blends original songwriting with reinvented jazz standards, moving from romantic ballads to gospel-infused grooves and hard-driving improvisation. Recorded “old school” with the musicians performing together in one room, the EP reflects Ferguson’s continuing commitment to music as a living, collaborative language.

As the first single from Jammin' Under Jack, North Star introduces the EP's emotional centre while the North Star Alt-track on the upcoming EP plays with the song's broader creative life. A future 2027 release will present the original up-tempo dance conception, making this version a striking first glimpse of the song's range.
